The Fjord Town

This small society in the middle of Aalborg is right by the Limfjord and consists of small, self-constructed houses.

In the western part of Aalborg close to Skudehavnen (harbour) you will find Fjordbyen. In the 1930s the poor fishermen used the sheds in Fjordbyen to store their nets, fishing tackle, and for shelter from wind and bad weather. Today, the small sheds are converted into cosy homes and the area has received official status as an allotment society.
