David Walker likes to create portraits bursting with color. He doesn’t use stencils or brushes – every work is created using freehand spray paint. Walker’s work consists of visually rich portraits merging photorealism, abstraction and graffiti art, permeated by raw energy – and the mural in Nørregade is no exception. Most of David Walker’s portraits are of female characters, and he often finds his inspiration in photos, magazines or on websites. Even though he has only been painting for a few years, his reputation as a street artist is already impressive. David Walker has painted in locations such as New York, Lisbon, Hong Kong and Berlin, and now here in Aalborg as well.
The mural was made during Gallery Kirk’s street art project “Out in the Open” in 2016.
