Hjelmerstald (Hjelmer Stable) is a street with four houses, and it is one of the few preserved neighbourhoods in Aalborg. The surrounding streets are equally charming, and the place has a cosy atmosphere.
The area, which was placed in the southern part of Aalborg, was build around the 17th century with stables for the city’s many horses – hence the name of the street. Today the houses are private homes.
Hjelmerstald is a cosy area surrounded by small fairytale houses that are beautiful and unique – it can definitely be tempting to gaze through the windows!
