Utzon Center Aalborg

The Utzon Center functions as a venue for diffusion and innovation, where art, architecture and design interact with exhibition, education, conferences, meetings and culinary experiences. The Utzon Center was inaugurated on the 28th of May 2008, and it stands as the first of a number of cultural initiatives on Aalborg’s new waterfront.

Utzon Center, which is placed on Aalborg's beautiful waterfront, is definitely worth a visit...

Exciting architecture

Beside the changing exhibitions, you will also find the beautiful ’Spidsgatter boat’, drawn by Jørn Utzon’s father, Aage Utzon. On the 1th floor you will find the ’Obelske Auditorium’ with a view over the Limfjord. This room is great for both meetings and other arrangements and the library in Utzon is an architectural pearl in itself.

At the Utzon Centre, you will find the Utzon Restaurant, which in May 2013 reopened with an exciting new restaurant, serving the traditional Danish “smørrebrød”. The visitors at Utzon Restaurant will have a unique view over the Limfjord and Aalborg's waterfront.
