Beaches
On the east coast near Hals and Hou are some of northern Europe’s finest and most child friendly beaches. The sand is golden and fine, the water clean and the waves small. The water rises slowly, making it safe for children to play on the shore. They can play in the sand dunes or build castles.


Hou Harbour is situated directly at the Kattegat. It is a spectacular attraction to be sailing from open sea and directly "into" the dunes, where the harbour is. In the summer season the harbour is a popular place because of sales markets.


The harbour in Hals is opened to guests all year round. It is a very popular place with a good atmosphere, sourrounded by restaurants and shops.
