There are many great opportunities for angling in the area. With an ordinary fishing license, which can be obtained at the post office, you can fish directly in the water or off the jetties. There are also several beautifully situated fishing lakes in the area.

Mackerel, herring and garfish are among the fish you can catch. 

Koldkærgård Ranch has a fishing lake in scenic surroundings. You can rent or buy fishing equipment at the ranch. The facilities at the lake are very good and include a large cabin with toilet facilities.

Gaaser Fiskesø is a ”Put and take” lake where you can catch rainbow trout and eel. The lake is located at the farm “Nygaard” in a beautiful area by Limfjorden.

The piers at the harbour in Hals and Hou are well suited for angling. If you move further out into Kattegat you can catch plaice, cod and saithe.

Lagunen Fiskepark is located in the scenic area between Hals and Hou. In the park you can catch rainbow trouts weighting between 1 and 8 kg. The park has a wood cabin, tables and benches, shelters with barbeques and a shop where you can buy equipment.
