Right by Nibe Broad and close to the town’s historical buildings is Nibe Marina, where all visitors in boat will be able to find a good berth, even in the peek season. The Marina is an ideal destination with just the right distance to Kattegat to the east and the Limfjord’s large broads to the west. The harbour was built in 1986-87 as an extension to the existing harbour facilities and in this connection, the characteristic red buildings that surround the harbour on both sides – Bryggen – were also built. The harbour is comprised of all that makes a port of call convenient: toilets, baths, electricity and fresh water on the jetties. All visitors are welcome to use the living room of the yacht club’s club house and the barbeque area. The harbour’s service area is also at the visitors’ disposal and has both a towing area and rigging-sheers. Due to the permanent residential houses close by the harbour is particularly well monitored and the staff at the port office can be of assistance with many different services such as weather forecasts, fax and e-mail facilities etc. Nibe Marina cooperates with the municipality to preserve and develop the town's maritime front and distinctive character by keeping a standard that each year is awarded the ‘Blue Flag’. Nibe Marina is only a few minutes from Nibe’s many shopping possibilities and there are frequent bus connections in all directions.
