In keeping with traditions, 4th of July is also celebrated in Aalborg. The Municipality of Aalborg, Aalborg City, the military in Northern Jutland and VisitAalborg has organised a wide range of activities – all of them with an American touch.

Aalborg welcomes everyone to an all-American atmosphere
Aalborg will be filled with American atmosphere, when American cars, country and western, jazz and rock music will be all over the city. Experience the wonderful atmosphere in the square “Gl. Torv”, where it is also possible to buy barbeque and the popular 4th of July beer, produced by Søgaard’s Brewery.
Win a flight in a two-seated T-17 airplane
Thursday July 3, the military in Northern Jutland and the Defence and Garrison Museum will present an exciting exhibition in the square “Gl. Torv” in the centre of Aalborg. See the newest vehicles from up close, for example the fire engine from the air force, or listen to stories about the old military vehicles.
You can also participate in the competition for a flight in a two-seated T-17 airplane where the winner will be taken directly to the airfield for an amazing adventure.

13.30-16.00 Rebild Society’s Picnic in the garden of Top Karen’s Hus in the Rebild Hills. Tickets: DKK 165.

12.15-15.00 Danish-American Club’s luncheon at Hotel Hvide Hus where “The Mayor for a day” is named (doors open at 12.00). Tickets: DKK 275.
14.00-17.00 Country and Western music in the square “Gl. Torv” in the city of Aalborg.
15.00-16.00 “The mayor for a day” plants a tree in “Kildeparken”, Aalborg.

Saturday July 5
