Mortens Kro

Capacity: 120 guests

In the centre of Aalborg City, on Mølleplads, is one of Aalborg’s culinary high temples. In the lounge-like interior of the restaurant Mortens Kro you could as easily be in New York or Milan. The décor is of the highest quality, in terms of form, colour and function. The overall mental experience that Mortens Kro gives its guests is surpassed only by the gastronomic experience, the priority of a restaurant that has an unusually international atmosphere and that has been voted one of the city’s best restaurants by countless reviewers.

The head chef Morten Nielsen, voted Chef of the Year in 1996 and well known both as writer and TV host, is a gourmet wizard in his own kitchen. Creative, innovative and inspiring gastronomy on an international level. 


San Giovanni

Capacity: 90 guests
The Italian restaurant San Giovannii, located in the centre of the city, provides one of Aalborg’s best gastronomic experiences. It is now run by the second generation of the Volpi family. San Giovanni, in its own words, is an advocate of “slow food”. By that they mean the overall experience, excellent food and good living, quality and a respectful preparation of good ingredients. So do not be surprised that the food at San Giovanni is based on the freshest of ingredients, many of them their own imports and testifying to the Volpi family’s views on quality. They never compromise.

Their 100-m² wine cellar is available for small-scale parties. Here you can enjoy an exceptional dinner in a unique setting, ideal for committee dinners or entertaining distinguished guests.

The tradition in the wine cellar is not to order from the menu. The menu is constructed in the manner of a traditional Italian celebration dinner.  


Sohngaardsholm Slot

Capacity: 90 guests

One of Aalborg’s old country houses, Sohngaardsholm Castle, after many distinguished centuries of history, now offers a highly atmospheric setting with sophisticated gastronomy.

Restaurant Sohngaardsholm is located in the hilly area south of the city, with a lovely view over Aalborg and the surrounding park.

Kong Richard

Capacity: 40-150 guests

Exquisite ingredients, innovative thinking and explorative cooking are the key words for Aalborg’s new restaurant Kong Richard. The restaurant seeks to give a superb experience where gastronomy and wines are in focus but where the service and décor also plays a crucial part in order to set the mood for a perfect experience – a food experience that is fit for a king.

The menu at restaurant Kong Richard changes every month according to the season’s ingredients. The menu at restaurant Kong Richard consists of 1-6 courses, which will be adjusted according to the guests’ order.

Restaurant Kong Richard also welcomes larger groups and the restaurant is very flexible according to the needs and wishes of the guests.
