The existing main building was built in 1723 in baroque style by Count Chr. Lewetzau and the manor was, at that time, one of Denmark’s largest estates. The moat was dug by the Gyldenstjern family, whose ancestor, the Viking Ref, sailed here along Hasseris creek.
